“what lies behind us, and what lies before us, are tiny matters compared to what lies WITHIN us.”

the new year has arrived, and 2014 holds much promise for us.
many mistakes have been made in 2013, or maybe even in 2012 or before. many seconds and feelings or emotions wasted on matters that do not really deserve our attention. with these come many regrets, and the endless questions of “what if I spent my time doing other things instead of wasting it on (this particular issue)?”

the beauty of a new year is that we start the year on a clean slate; that is to say, we begin anew. whatever wrongs that we have committed in the past stay in the past and we get a chance to ‘begin again’.

there are many things that I regret doing in 2013, yes, but all I can do now is to let go. and that I shall. what use is looking back in the past if it stops one from moving forward? 🙂

our days and chances, very much like the sunrise pictured above, come about every day, and the decision to make the best use of them lie entirely with us. with that, I wish you well.

“what lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
