day 1

so… I just got through day one of the low carb diet.

it’s not easy to adopt a new regime and stick to it for a long period of time. I am excited (and yet balk) at the prospect of replacing all my rice/potatoes/noodles with a broccoli and sautéed mushroom mix. it has been only one day and I feel light-headed and lethargic and constantly want to take naps. I feel uncomfortable with myself and all that I’m setting out to achieve.

but I can’t stop now. this is only the beginning. and I know that the returns will be a lot sweeter to make up for the pain and discomfort now.
